The CJ-3B featured a high hood and grille to house the new Willys Hurricane engine, and its grille features a Willys logo above the slots. The CJ-3B was licensed to overseas manufacturers, who produced civilian and military variants, one of which was Mitsubishi of Japan. Because of this, the CJ-3B is sometimes referred to as 'The Mitsubishi Jeep'.
