ASSEMBLY: Toledo, OH, USA
UNITS PRODUCED: 3 (Prototype)
PREDECESSOR : CJ-3B

SUB-MODEL : CJ-4M
The CJ-4 was a prototype jeep with unique fenders, and only one ever got built. The CJ-4 fenders represent a transition between the flat fenders of the CJ-3B and the curved fenders of the CJ-5 Universal. The CJ-4 is considered a civilian jeep (CJ), but the only one to get built had military detailing, and is sometimes called the CJ-4M.
